From Voice to Pulse [derivative decay] creates a new spatial installation based on the audiovisual piece From Voice to Pulse, which had its world premiere at the IFFR in 2023. In the basement of Dat Bolwerck during the summer of 2024 the original and new video pieces intertwine with iron structures and intricate objects. Using techniques such as 3D scanning, printing, burning and oxidising, this spatial installation questions what defines an ‘original’, a ‘derivative’ and how these evolve in our digitised world.
