About

Zeno van den Broek is a composer and audiovisual artist based in The Hague. His work occupies the space between bits and atoms, the threshold where technology meets the body, where the measurable becomes felt. Trained as an architect at TU Delft, van den Broek approaches sound and image as spatial and sculptural materials, inseparable in his practice, each shaping the conditions under which the other is perceived. His pieces construct environments in which audiences become acutely aware of their own presence: the room, the signal, the silence between.

Recent work includes Ways of [ ], a composition and performance exploring human relations to other forms of intelligence, and From Voice to Pulse, an audiovisual work examining the oldest forms of music through algorithmic and robotic systems. His practice has been presented at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Rewire, and the Old Church Amsterdam, among others.
Since 2026, van den Broek serves as artistic director of HIIIT (formerly Slagwerk Den Haag), one of the Netherlands’ leading percussion ensembles.
